From October 5th to 15th, 2022, Prof. Henrique Alexandrino, Auxiliary Professor in Surgery at Faculty of Medicine University of Coimbra, Portugal, and Consultant in General Surgery, Coimbra University Hospital Center, participated in different activities in Campinas trough the ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignment.

Division of Trauma Surgery Meeting

In the first day he discussed a case during the “Monthly Morbidity and Mortality Meeting” of the Division of Trauma Surgery of School of Medical Sciences (SMS) of University of Campinas (Unicamp), held presential and online at the Telemedicine Conference Room of Hospital de Clinicas of Unicamp. On October 6th he attended the Opening Ceremony of CAMPINAS HEALTH - Technology & Innovation Summit 2022 at Sociedade de Medicina e Cirurgia de Campinas and on October 8th he presented the lecture “Decision-making in Trauma and Emergency Surgery”  during the International Session about Emergency and Trauma Care at CAMPINAS HEALTH.

Prof. Alexandrino participated as a member of the doctoral committee of Dr. Romeo Lages Simões in the PhD thesis about the performance of students from Unicamp's Trauma League, under the guidance of Prof. Gustavo P. Fraga, Coordinator of the Division of Trauma Surgery. On October 11th he presented the lecture “Non-technical skills and team work on trauma care” to the Trauma League students, at SMS - Unicamp.

Prof. Alexandrino also worked as Instructor and Director Candidate at two consecutive European Trauma Course, organized by Fundação Roberto Rocha Brito and Vera Cruz Hospital. These busy days herald a strengthening of the international collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine of University of Coimbra and SMS - Unicamp.
